At the forty-fifth international, the FIS Children’s POKAL-LOKA race, which took place at Stari Vrh, 230 competitors took part from 30 countries. Emilija Djurovic, a skier who is a member of the Crvena Zvezda ski club in the U14 category, finished eighth, making a great result for regional skiing. Emilia is an entry year and she is expected to fight for podiums in international competitions next year. Skiing as a sport has been declining all over the world in the last few years, which is why it is very important for children from the earliest ages to create a habit and love for mountain and skiing. Congratulations to Emilia and may she be the inspiration for you to take the first ski steps or to take up the sport more seriously.
