We inform all visitors of Jahorina that from tomorrow, December 5, the installations of vertical transport on the mountain will not be in operation, and that the ski slopes will not be open in accordance with that. Due to the weather conditions not allowing the system for artificial snowmaking to be operational in the first days of the “Jahorina Ski Opening”, and the announcement of unfavorable weather conditions in the following days, Olympic Center Jahorina is forced to temporarily suspend the operation of its capacities.

In accordance with the announcements of the weather forecast, the suspended operation of installations and slopes will remain in effect until further notice. In the event of a change to the previously mentioned, and the creation of favorable conditions for the production of snow, as well as the appearance of natural snow,an update will follow on the official website and social platforms of Olympic Center Jahorina. The scheduled concerts of Saša Kovačević on 9 Dec, and Vesna Zmijanac on 10 Dec, in the Olympic Bar, will take place on the mentioned dates.

Visitors to Olympic Center Jahorina are informed that on the days of the “Jahorina Ski Opening” the carpet lift at the Poljice ski training ground will be in operation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Poljice gondola, for panoramic sightseeing, in operation from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

With the help of the “SnowFactory” system of artificial snowmaking, it is possible to ski on the children’s training ground at Poljice trail, at a 50% lower price. The slopes Novak Djokovic and Poljice will remain closed for skiing during the days of the “Jahorina Ski Opening”. In anticipation of lower air temperatures, the artificial snowmaking system continues to operate whenever the conditions for its operation are met.

Tonight, all Jahorina visitors, at the concert tent at the cascade parking lot at Poljice, are expecting a performance by Prljavo Kazalište, while tomorrow, 3.12, Marija Šerifović will perform at the same location, and Željko Joksimović on 4.12. at the same location. Anyone interested can buy tickets for the mentioned concerts at kupikartu.ba, at the ticket offices of its system, as well as at Vučko, Termag and Lavina hotels on Jahorina. The prices are 20 BAM for standard tickets, and 70 BAM for VIP tickets, until the very day of the concerts, when the prices of standard tickets will be 30 BAM, and 100 BAM for VIP tickets.

The winter season on Jahorina officially starts tomorrow, December 1st. The latest artificial snowmaking system “SnowFactory” has completely covered the children’s kindergarten on Poljice slope with new snow, where toddlers and less skilled skiers will be able to ski at a 50% lower prices as early as tomorrow. Unfortunately, the weather conditions did not allow the opening of the expected slopes, Poljice and Novak Djokovic, on the first day of the official opening of the season. In anticipation of slightly lower air temperatures, the artificial snowmaking system continues to operate.

While the hard-working team of the Jahorina Olympic Center is preparing the remaining Jahorina’s slopes and vertical transport installations, the employees of the Olympic Bar are fully prepared for a great party scheduled for December 1st, when the brilliant Zli Pevač will perform. Everyone who has reserved their spot at tomorrow’s party will be transported to the Olympic bar by the Poljice gondola, and the entrance is completely free.

We are only a day away from the traditional, splendid nightlife as part of the “Jahorina Ski Opening”, which is scheduled for the period from December 1st to December 4th. In the evening hours throughout the mentioned period, unforgettable fun is guaranteed by regional musical stars – Prljavo Kazalište, Marija Šerifović and Željko Joksimović! In the concert tent on the cascade parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the Poljice slope, Prljavo Kazalište will perform on December 2nd, Marija Šerifović on December 3rd, and Željko Joksimović on December 4th. After the extremely successful Gala Opening of the ski season, there will be two weekends of the music spectacle, the Balkan Music Festival, which will take place on Friday 10.12. and Saturday 11.12. then next Friday 17.12. and Saturday 18.12. In two weekends, more precisely four days, we will have four big concert events, something for everyone, thematically arranged. All concerts will start at 20:00 and will be held in Poljice indoors at the location below the Hotel Vucko (cascading parking lot).

During the festival, 20 currently most current performers from the region will perform.

 

The first Friday, December 10, is reserved for performers Voyage, Nucci, Corona x Rimski, Gazda Paja, THCF, Devito, while on Saturday, December 11, a spectacle is announced with Dragana Mirković, Šems Suljaković, Mile Kitić and Kemal Malovčić. On the second weekend of December 17, Seka Aleksić, Aleksandra Prijović, Elma Sinanović, Milica Pavlović and Sloba Radanović will perform. On Saturday, December 18, the festival will close with 3 legendary bands of all time from the Balkans. The well-known bands of the groups Bijelo Dugme, Riblja Čorba and Divlje Jagode.

We inform all students, participants of the action “Be a child of Jahorina” for the season 2022/2023, that the time for collecting ski passes from the action has been extended until the end of October. Until October 31, participants of last year’s campaign who have an old ski pass will be able to exchange it at the main ski ticket office at Poljice until October 31, every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants who have returned their old ski pass, or are exercising their right to a new ski pass for the first time, will also be able to pick it up at the main ski ticket office at Poljice, with the beginning of the new winter season, more precisely from December 1, with the payment of a deposit in in the amount of 10 BAM.

When picking up a ski pass, a parent or guardian is required to fill in the Statement for a minor child, while adult users of ski passes sign the Statement in person and are required to provide an identification document.

*The presence of minors with their parents or guardians when picking up ski tickets at the main ski ticket office at Poljice is not mandatory. A photograph of the user of the ski pass (child) in electronic form is sufficient.

Our company enters the upcoming winter season with numerous novelties when it comes to investment projects. There are 8 infrastructure projects which will welcome all skiing fans and visitors to our Olympic mountain, but also ensure endless enjoyment in the winter months.

The number of vertical transport installations on Jahorina will increase significantly with 2 investment projects, i.e. the installation of 2 new ski lifts. These are the new ski button lift “Oštra Glava” for the youngest skiers on the Trnovo slope, 120 meters long, and the new ski anchor lift “Prača”, on the same slope, as long as 900 meters. This will further increase the already impressive capacity when it comes to the number of skiers that we transport to the top of the desired slopes in just an hour.

The new installations of vertical transport will be accompanied by new trails and connecting roads, but also by new kilometers of illuminated trails for the best night skiing. The project for the installation of new lighting included the installation of lighting on track 1a, which leads from the top of the Poljice slope to the start of the Trnovo six-seater, the central slope 6 on Prača and the connecting road 8a between the Poljice slope and the Novak Đoković slope, 150 meters long. The newly lit slopes will be ready for night skiing, for which Jahorina has become recognizable. Thus, we will complete the already existing 5 kilometers of trails for night skiing with 3.5 kilometers of newly lit trails according to FIS standards and thus delight skiing fans in the evening with a total of 8.5 kilometers of trails for full night enjoyment.

Along with new trails, enriched training grounds, and newly installed illumination on Jahorina trails, we will also delight those children and adults who find the greatest happiness in the first winter sport they encountered in childhood – sledding. The project of building a 700-meter-long toboggan run on track 7 was implemented, as well as a project called “SnowBoard Park”. Fans of snowboarding will enjoy the new SnowBoard Park on Trnovo slope, with an area of ​​3,000 square meters, impressively equipped with obstacles and jumps for performing the funniest tricks on the snow.

Along with the implementation of the Ski Tunnel construction project, as the sixth project that we successfully implemented during the summer months, the upgrade of the Olympic Bar was our penultimate venture this year. We are talking about the construction of a podium on the plateau of this restaurant-bar at 1,879 meters above sea level, which, as before, will be synonymous with great time and undisputed entertainment, because it will represent the center of events when it comes to the phenomenal après-ski parties organized during the winter months.

Our last project was the implementation of the “SnowFactory” system for artificial snowmaking, and a significant upgrade of the existing system for artificial snowmaking. It is about the snowing of slopes numbers 6 and 6b, on the Prača ski slope. Along with the construction of the snowmaking system on the mentioned slope, we are the first in the Balkans to acquire the most modern snowmaking system “SnowFactory” which produces artificial snow under all conditions, regardless of the air temperature. The “SnowFactory” system of artificial snowmaking will give the guests of Jahorina additional, maximum safety in the snow during the entire winter season, considering that the mentioned system is a big step forward in world skiing – it is an innovative technology for the production of top quality artificial snow 24/7  which functions as an ideal complement to the traditional artificial snowmaking system.
